Homegrown Decatur Featuring Rep Your Hood T-Shirts

While we don't offer a whole lot of retail availability, one location that we are especially proud to be represented by is a great place in decatur called Homegrown.  They've got all kinds of different artwork and cool stuff in there.  The people there are also so nice, it's really been great working with them.  Yesterday i just dropped off over 70 shirts, so we know they're pretty well stocked up.  If you're in the decatur area you should definitely go and check out what they've got.. they're on church st right next to the marta station across from java monkey (one of my fav coffee shops.)  Tell them the rep your hood guys sent you.

This Saturday at the Midway Pub Artists Market

On short notice we're gonna set up a table in East Atlanta at the Midway Pub's artists market.  The fabulous Wasted Potential Brass Band will be joining us to contribute some good music.  If you're in the 'hood come by and say "hi" and join us for a cold one (or two.)  This will be a fun, low-key event and a great time to come down and get yourself a RYH shirt with your neigborhood.. East ATL was the original so i expect this to be a well received little booth..  thanks.

Fun at the Cabbagetown Chomp and Stomp

Thanks to everyone who came out to cabbagetown this past weekend for the Chomp and Stomp.  the event was a success and this year there were no angry cops yelling at us to shut it down.  the music was bangin' the weather was beautiful, we had a great spot near cabbagetown park on kirkwood, some cool booth neighbors and some good friends who came by to hang out.  we got a visit from the wasted potential brass band and even got some BBQ from my man spencer at black tie bbq.

that's pretty much the end of the festival season for 2011 so at RYH we're looking forward the Inman park festival in spring 2012.. we may even have a new design or two lined up for that one..  thanks for all the support and keep checking back here for updates on what we're doing.  peace.

This Weekend - Cabbagetown Chomp and Stomp

Like pete rock said “let’s see what’s next on the menu” … it’s the C-town festival The Chomp and Stomp.  This is a really fun one.  One of atlanta’s best neighborhood, Cabbagetown, famous for it’s dope grafitti and the cotton mill and carrol street and 97 estoria and more, will be hosting this festival.. there’s a 5k, there’s bands, there’s beer and there’s chili… walk around the block from the chili and there’s the artist’s market where we’ll be.  We’ll have shirts and we’ll be bangin’ out the music.  Last year we got shut down by the cops but even that didn’t stop us as we went across the street and started a house party.  Come check us out and say “hi” .. this may be our last festival ’til next spring so lets’ do it up..

Rep Your Hood write-up on Postbox

Rep Your Hood tees got a nice write-up on postbox today.  Dana, a writer for msn, happened to spot a RYH shirt at Music Midtown this year.  she got in touch with us about the shirts this week and told us how she really was diggin’ them.  we gave her some info and she posted on us…  it’s great to get a little bit of publicity, but it’s especially cool when it was unsolicited like that.  nice to know people are noticing the designs.  thank you Dana.
